Peach Boy Riverside went back in time to the events immediately before the first episode. Princess Sally runs away from guards to have adventures in her peaceful kingdom. She longs for new experiences and saw a chance for excitement when she met Mikoto, a traveler to the kingdom. We still don't know why Princess Sally thinks of giant tentacles when she sees octopuses, but it's a funny ecchi joke.
Princess Sally was surprised to find out that Mikoto was a man. How could this be? He's skinnier and prettier than she is! Mikoto spoke obliquely about the dangers of traveling between countries. Princess Sally thought the rumors of ogres and monsters could not be as scary as she heard if Mikoto traveled by himself. Mikoto had a secret, of course.
A pack of ogres threatened the king and the city, which is why Mikoto came to them. The lead ogre, upon noticing Mikoto, quickly ran away. Mikoto was the one who destroyed that particular ogre's nation, so he knew what Mikoto was capable of. The other ogres learned those things too, but they won't be able to warn anyone else. Princess Sally felt drawn to ogres and witnessed Mikoto's slaughter. She did not yet have the stomach for violence.
A month after Mikoto saved her kingdom, Princess Sally became more serious about traveling. The king had refused his daughter's wishes to travel because of the dangers of ogres running around the countryside. But he gave her permission on the day of the ogre attack. After the crisis passed, the need for her to be safe was moot. But Sally still wanted to go, and she showed her resolve by cutting off her hair. Not long after she started traveling, Sally met Frau. And now we're all caught up.
