Nadeshiko told Rin not to worry about the eel because she was picking up the tab with her dad's money. Thumbs up! At Nadeshiko's grandma's house, Rin met Nadeshiko's best friend from junior high Aya. Aya had many fun stories about Nadeshiko's younger self, including how chubby she used to be until her older sister Sakura got annoyed and made her ride a bicycle around Lake Hamana all summer before high school. Nadeshiko's cheeks are still stretchy and now we know why she eats all the time.
Nadeshiko shared her own pictures of all the cold weather camping, which still surprises her old friend Aya. Rin introduced her to why Nadeshiko loves it so much – camp cooking. She got it then, since Nadeshiko is still all about the food. Aya and Rin also bonded over her motorcycle. Perhaps Nadeshiko will get her own moped soon.
Nadeshiko offered to show Aya a glimpse of what she sees during camping too by looking at Lake Hamana from a cold, dark, clear vantage point. Rin explained that solo camping is "enjoying loneliness." There's something to that when friends can enjoy loneliness together by looking at the rest of the world from a faraway place.
