Surprisingly, Ayanami wanted to cut class because she was playing videogames all night. She even wanted her friends Javelin and Laffey to join her beat a quest in her game.
Javelin and Z23 went to the shopkeeper Akashi for advice on motivating Ayanami to go to class. Akashi's new cat officer assistants might entice Ayanami away from her videogame. That backfired, because these cute little guys want to be as helpful as possible and that also meant helping a ship girl with her mission... inside a videogame.
Artist Muuran made the cute cat officers even cuter in the end card.
