Kirito and Miller fight all out for Alice's fate.

Episode 20 – "The Night-Sky Blade"

Hmm.

There's not much to think about because Kirito Jesus reached his final form when he needed to for the end-game in a SAO arc. Dual-wielding? Yes. Inspiration from friends and mentors? Yes. A small moment of self-doubt helped by the memory of a departed friend? Yes. Unexplained help from a digital ghost? Of course.

The only problem for Kirito's fight with Miller was how SAO did not explain anything about Miller's powers, weapons, or the significance of his twisted Seraphim form. Kirito had only five minutes to beat him, so there wasn't going to be time for the customary anime standing around and posing. The only thing we needed to know was that Miller was a bad dude and he looked like one too.

Heh.

Picking up from last episode, Kirito arrived to Alice's relief. He also healed the poor dragons, or reversed their time back into eggs? We won't get any explanations for all the magic happening now. There's no time, so they're won't even be summaries. Asuna takes Alice to the World's End Altar and Kirito needs to defeat Miller. That's it.

This Kirito guy is tougher than Miller expected. Was he not briefed on who me might encounter? Vassago knew he was in here. Doesn't matter now. Fight!

Well, that doesn't look good. Miller looks like a poisoned form of archangel or seraphim. Kirito needs all the help he can get. Shooting stars are wishes, so that's a nice metaphor. Lots of hero worship and harem feelings to roil the emotions.

Ghost Eugeo will hold his ice sword for Kirito. If Miller can use that weird energy whip hand, why shouldn't Kirito have a mysterious arm too? Who's eating souls now, Miller? That was not a sane laugh at the end.

Kirito wins and loses. Alice logged out, along with everyone else, but Kirito needs to wait two hundred years before getting out of Underworld. He thought he'd be alone, but Asuna wasn't going to let that happen after not seeing him for a month. The War of Underworld is over, but the battle over Ocean Turtle needs its own emotional resolutions.
