The 107th Tour's longest stage is the 12th, from Chauvigny to Sarran, at 218 km. This distance is not even half of the longest stage in the Tour's history, which was 482 km from Les Sables d’Olonne to Bayonne, which appeared six years running from 1919 to 1924. The longest stage after World War II in the Tour was 359 km, from Clermont-Ferrand to Fontainebleau, which featured in the 1967 edition.
