Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! - Episode 8 - Firework Lights Up Uzaki

Uzaki was already cheered up by the time the fireworks show started, but those pretty lights cemented her good mood.

Uzaki felt bad about staining Sakurai's futon and wanted to compensate him for it. Unfortunately, she informed him in public, causing a scene, and she chose words that made it seem the Enemy of All Women Sakurai took her virginity and extorted her to keep him from bragging about it.

Master Asai and Ami expected to enjoy a meal of the usual arguments and fighting Sakurai and Uzaki had during her birthday, but Sakurai made it clear that Uzaki was depressed and it was too embarrassing for her to say why. Ami and Master Asai knew what to do. Take her to a fireworks festival and pay her compliments. She's simple like that.

The food and game stalls were not enough to lift Uzaki's mood, who flashed a fake smile that Sakurai recognized from their high school days. So, he did as Ami told him and complimented her yukata. That worked and Hana Uzaki is back!

Unfortunately for Sakurai, he went too far and started calling Uzaki cute instead of just her outfit. That immediately started one of the bakapparu scenes. He repeated the word "cute" so much, someone in the crowd said he had poor vocabulary. Uzaki got embarrassed, started swinging her fists, and her bag scored a lucky blow on Sakurai's chin, knocking him out.

Sakurai flashed back to when he saw that sad smile Uzaki wore and how she felt bad that her swimming practice wasn't going so well. He cheered her up back then by getting her food at a fireworks festival too.

Uzaki felt bad again for hurting Sakurai, just moments after she regained her usual high spirits. Sakurai lifted them up again by thanking her for the company she's given him since the spring started. She's simple like that.

The fireworks made an exclamation point on Sakurai inviting Uzaki on another trip before the summer break ends. Uzaki enjoyed the sky full of fireworks, while Sakurai enjoyed his vision full of Hana Uzaki.
