The city of Nice, France, hosts the start of the rescheduled Tour de France for 2020. The Tour stays in Nice for three days, as the first two stages start and finish in Nice, and then leave Nice in the third stage to Sisteron. This is similar to the Tour's 1981 edition which started in Nice with a prologue, hosted a split Stage 1 with a short hilly stage in the morning and a team trial in the afternoon, before leaving Nice on Stage 2 to Martigues.
The last time Nice was a host city for the Tour de France was in 2013 and its first ever appearance was in 1906.
