The club activity for the day is clamming in the tidal pools. The hazards are different than fishing because your boots might get stuck in the mud and you might fall down in that mud. Hina and Natsumi demonstrated these dangers quite nicely.
Luckily for Hina and Natsumi, they had used their gym clothes instead of their school uniforms. Unfortunately for the rest of the club, the school nurse Sayaka-sensei came by because she knew the club would go clamming even though they didn't tell her. It looks like Sayaka doesn't like fishing, but she does like drinking, and the breakwater club gives her all the snacks she needs to go with her hobby.
The main problem with Sayaka when she drinks is that she eats like she drinks – fast. The only hope is that she falls asleep so the girls can relax while they eat. Hina had hoped to enjoy the huge Manila clam she found, but Sayaka also wakes up fast! Poor Hina. She learned another lesson that became a tradition in the breakwater club. Hiding their catches from Sayaka is just another step to add to the process of fishing.
