Shinra asked Maki why she didn't dress in a more feminine style like Tamaki and Iris did on their day off. Poor Maki thought girly dresses couldn't handle her buffness.
The opening credits featured the
White Cloak guy who got beat down for being a victim of Tamaki's lucky lecher superpower. It looks like he survived, but that experience flipped his ecchi switch.
The girls and Shinra had a nice time on a rare day off. Their actual excuse was to buy better hats and shirts for their lieutenant Takehisa, but that didn't turn out so well.
Befitting any first episode of a season, the 8th Fire Force Company had to get to work right away. A huge fire demon needed the full company to dismantle, which was a good way to reintroduce the cast along with their powers and roles.
The second half was another reintroduction of sorts. Using the rationale of getting ready for the next sexy fire force companies calendar, Captain Obi and Shinra gave the audience a quick rundown of all the other companies we met in the first season. Shinra was disappointed when he learned that the calendar is men only, so Princess Hibana would not be appearing nearly naked. Hibana had her own dilemma because she wanted to see a naked Shinra in the next calendar, but that meant "sharing him" with the rest of the world. It's something that could not be helped. Meanwhile, the bros of Fire Force 8 worked out extra hard to rise up in the popularity rankings, but Captain Obi's sketchy posing ideas did them in again.
