Chika thought something was seriously wrong with Shirogane because he had nicely combed hair, a friendly attitude, and no bags under his eyes.
Because Shirogane didn't have student council duties, he finally had an extra three hours of sleep a night. His shiny eyes and smooth skin made him look exactly like Kei's older brother. Kaguya doubted her true love for him because he didn't have his "cool" eyes anymore. Chika complicated her feelings by explaining that true love doesn't care about changes in looks. It was all moot, because the next day Shirogane went back to his sleep-deprived self because of working on his reelection campaign.
Chika noticed Shirogane didn't actually sing the school anthem during assemblies. He had a good reason — he's a tone-deaf terrible singer. Thus started another one of Chika's grueling training montages on Shirogane.
