Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T - Episode 7 - 10 Second Anime

As Mikoto rushes to find her lost Sister, she realizes Misaki and her associates might not be the only ones causing harm to her loved ones.

#7 - "Auribus oculi fideliores sunt.
(The eyes are more trustworthy than the ears)"

Hmm.

It's taking Railgun a while to lay down all the pieces connected to Mikoto's mistaken identity and botched kidnapping. The audience can already see that one side, The Sexy Quicksilver Nurse, wanted to kidnap Mikoto herself and that the other side, Misaki, took Misaka 10032 as a crime of opportunity while trying to hide her group's purpose from Mikoto and her curious friends. Mikoto needs to figure this stuff out without seeing the things we see. I suspect the Shadow Metal Saten was looking for is what Misaki's group was associated with while Quicksilver Nurse acts like a liberation front version of Alphabet Soup.

We have to remember that we have 25 episodes to work with here, so the Shadow Metal plot and the Alphabet Soup people might get wrapped up by the end of the winter season. Considering the small orbit around Mikoto both villain groups are concentrating on, it looks to me that Spiky-kun, Gunha, and the Aztec witch in disguise won't become the focus until the spring season. That's okay, because this means we have another 4 episodes for Kuroko to fall in love with Mikoto all over again before she gets her memories back. "Fated love!" she'll claim. Circumstances appear to agree with Kuroko.

Heh.

Saten has the correct response to a bunch of girls calling their leader "Queen." Heeeeh… Man, this kitten is so well-behaved. Misaka 10032 must take good care of her. No permanent scars on Kongou's face! That Baba guy would have died otherwise.

Psychometric girl can't talk to cats, but she sure dresses and looks like one. Reading the kitten's memories means a cat in the Toaru universe has long term memory of more than ten minutes! Well, the kitten gave confirmation of the tall dude and Misaki taking the feverish Misaka Sister. Those two bad guys have a project with a Latin name — "Auribus oculi fideliores sunt." The eyes are more trustworthy than the ears, says Wannai, proving that the rich girl school is providing an excellent education. Ha. Wannai doesn't know that Saten lost her memories of being Mikoto's friend, but Saten went to call her anyway out of muscle memory. Seeing her number in her contacts is going to be a big shock.

See? This is why Misaki is a lower-ranked Level 5 than Mikoto. She erased her memories from her friends, yet they all still know each other, and even HER MOM, yet Mikoto is the bond between all of them. If Uiharu never met Mikoto, why would she know HER MOM?! Come on, you blonde bimbo. Try harder, sheesh. Memory manipulation is only good as a short term distraction.

Kuroko is not a taxi! The bad girl is underestimating Mikoto's Level 5 electromagnetism skills. Manipulating a cell phone or even back tracing a radio signal is no big deal for the Railgun. Ah. This side of the plot thinks Mikoto has been attacking their infrastructure. Looks like incompetent memory manipulation from Misaki's side. Quicksilver Nurse wants to know where the clones are kept. They're not kept anywhere. Most of them have sent into foster care all over the world and only a few of them stayed in Academy City. So much incompetence showing through on both sides of the plot against Mikoto. Index never had these problems with their villains. They were just too crazy…

This Quicksilver Nurse is just ignorant. We were introduced to Mikoto in the Index universe when she was destroying every facility that had any record of the Sisters or the Level 6 Shift experiment. Mikoto knows exactly how it feels to rebel against Academy City. Mikoto is mature. This villain doesn't need to know any of that. She just needs to let her friend go. She's gone too far. Misaka Mama is here too! Ugh. Mikoto can definitely take out two people at the same time. The problem is getting the hostage far enough away from her target.

Nice. Kuroko may not remember Mikoto, but she remembers their teamwork. Ugh. Quicksilver Nurse's buddy doesn't look so hot without the wig. And it's over. Quicksilver Nurse's power let go of the puddle of metal. Quicksilver Nurse learned that Mikoto isn't actually her enemy.

Squee! Kuroko is going to fall in love with Mikoto again! Ha. Mikoto had to save Uiharu instead of Mama, because Misaka Mama would have gotten mad she didn't save her friend instead. These Misaka women are difficult… Kuroko can't stand it! Mikoto is holding her so close! Her tastes totally run that way!

Ah. Here's confirmation from Mikoto that Uiharu was compromised much earlier by Misaki over the Shadow Metal website search. That Latin bit was the name of the website that needed to be disappeared. The info on that site ties in well with the cleanup crews making sure psychic DNA isn't left behind during the violent sports festival matches. A picture of Misaki on there is too obvious a clue as well.
