Quetzalcoatl may be in the final battle to stop humanity's extinction, but she still has time to fight with verve and style.
Gilgamesh gave a rousing speech for the last survivors of the Age of Gods, telling them their spirit will continue into the Age of Man. Before that new age happens, Quetzalcoatl has to deal with Tiamat's preferred replacements, the Lahmu.
Dark Ushiwakamaru wasn't completely defeated in her last encounter, but thankfully Benkei returned in time to prevent her harassment of the forces attacking Tiamat. Quetzalcoatl made it close enough to to burn away the Dark Mud that Tiamat needs to float across, so the plan to slow her approach to Uruk appeared to work.
Amazingly, before Tiamat could start moving again, Gorgon rose from the devastated surface! Fujimaru's last command spell was "to bring victory to Quetzalcoatl," so perhaps she summoned Gorgon back from the underworld as her winged fire serpent? Or did Tiamat cede her authority as an Earth Goddess when she flew briefly, with that authority going back to Gorgon? This epic clash with Tiamat isn't over yet.
