Nekopara - Episode 7 - Cinnamon Likes the Dark

The cats were playing games during a strong storm, but when the power went out, Cinnamon thought they were going to start playing other kinds of games.

The cats have to take care of the house while both Kashou and Shigure are away during a storm, so they played cards and read magazines. Chocola has a terrible poker face and Coconut thinks the pizza place can still deliver during the bad weather.

The power went out, which shouldn't bother cats seeing in the dark, but some had more trouble than others. Meanwhile, Vanilla took her chance to tell scary stories. She combined a youkai drinking folktale with a ghastly woman from a well, which was pretty good, but the big punchline was how she made her own face blank at the end of the story, making Cinnamon wet herself for real.

Vanilla is the Cheshire Cat to Chocola's Alice in their eye catch. Maple is Prince Charming to Cinnamon's Cinderella. I hope that glass slipper didn't get wet in the eye catch.

Chocola wanted to tell a happy story, so she told her version of Hansel and Gretel finding the gingerbread house. They ate their fill and lived happily ever after. The End. Vanilla's sequel made her the housewife offering herself to salary cat Chocola. The other girls got their turns telling folktales, periodically being interrupted by Vanilla's interjection of the ghastly woman.

The other cat girls took over telling stories, but their changes added modern twists that were more head scratching than entertaining. Gotta admit that a Godzilla Azuki attacking Lilliput made for an interesting visual.

Cinnamon got too excited asking the genie of the lamp for a wish. I can't even hazard a guess as to what it might be.

Maple's telling of The Little Match Girl gave the Cinnamon version some sexy, warm images of cats.

The Snow White story with Coconut about to kiss Maple Snow White was rudely interrupted by another power outage. But Vanilla's recurring gag was paid off by Shigure suddenly returning home because she couldn't stand the thought of a night separated from her cats. Only Vanilla and Cacao managed to avoid shock and welcome her home.

Artist Takayaki gives us the sexy bellies of Vanilla and Chocola begging to be rubbed in the end card. Don't do that to real cats, though. Most of them hate that.
