Cain's companion, Miglieglia, appears to have high standards for the quality of blood she prefers. Schaal's is no good.
If Elizabeth the spider lady wanted Schaal to change into a nice ball gown, she could have asked first.
Cain's Incarnate power is the Vampire, so what Hank did to him right here, without hitting him with the Incarnate-curing bullet, was merely an inconvenience.
