Accelerator encounters more DA members. Other connected groups begin their own operations against DA.

#04 - "(Third Number) Pseudo-Soul•Huotou"

Hmm.

We're starting to get sucked into the minutiae of other people, their interests, and their affiliates as the plot starts to unravel around Accelerator. Remember, the whole point of Accelerator getting involved with Esther was because of the picture she had of Last Order while she was still growing in her clone tube. Where are we on that? Uh, nowhere, because Esther keeps getting interrupted by these DA guys.

Just like we saw during Accelerator's alphabet soup story arcs during Index III, the black groups keep coming in and out, always with sympathetic backers with competing interests starting them up and ultimately betraying them. So it goes with this elite fringe group DA inside Anti Skill. Also like the alphabet soup arcs, there's a lot of sitting around yapping about these groups because it's just too hard to show the information.

I thought the governing board member and lollipop sucking scientist was a good enough device to convey DA's current status of membership and abilities, and how they needed to be purged, as was Yomikawa piecing together their members and equipment from the evidence they left behind. But then that was all ruined by Yoshikawa sitting in bed telling Accelerator all this stuff, as he also sat in bed. What a useless scene. All that information, including one of the Sisters being kidnapped, was all held by other people. Plus, the only information that Accelerator would care about was the missing Misaka 10046, and he got that from another Sister's cutesy note. Like I said, Accelerator's info dump from Yoshikawa was totally superfluous.

One thing I am glad about is that the Sisters being involved makes Accelerator feel like the next season of Railgun came a little early. Even Uiharu and Saten are here! The official premiere date hasn't been announced yet, but hopefully it's not 8 years later like Index, or we'll be waiting until 2021.

Heh.

Rosenthal Third Number, Huotou - Esther's Number? Calls Esther "Adonai," Hebrew for "God." Rosenthal is a Jewish name.

Accelerator doesn't want to be ignored as a 2nd rate monster. He's the top villain! Don't you forget it!

Accelerator protected Huotou because he didn't want to see another teenage girl get hurt, not because he's establishing himself as top dog. But he'll still justify it as showing how to be a monster, villain, etc.

Whoops. This is what it looks like when Accelerator runs out of juice, or overtaxes his still healing brain.

Uh oh. This escaping DA guy ran into a Misaka. The one with goggles is 10046. Smack him with a box of froggy accessories!

These DA guys have the best Anti Skill equipment.

Welp, that's a death sentence. That dude hit a girl in the face.

This is Railgun! Uiharu and Saten are here! I missed these two.

Saten always has the urban legends that are actually true. All to set up the deeper conspiracy behind DA and how their usefulness is now over.

Oh boy. Another set of lolis going crazy.

Aw. That one scene with Last Order holding Accelerator's hand captures their whole relationship. Misaka wrote the cutesy note for Esther. Another victim of not correctly reading time and place. An abduction note is not the place for cutesy love letter script. Accelerator has it tough dealing with all these strange Misaka girls.

Yoshikawa calls Heaven Canceller the Frog Doctor. She's got the story on DA, a fringe element inside Anti Skill calling themselves "Disciplinary Action," which became an elite disavowed group because of sympathetic views and competing interests, like a disgraced neuroscientist and a governing board member. Yoshikawa already knows about the purge too. 

Yomikawa just realized Anti Skill has a dark underbelly.

This violent loli group seems set up like an idol unit. Next time, Accelerator is probably going to start bleeding again.
