Accelerator gets drawn into a plot by a mysterious cult using dead psychics and targeting Last Order accomplish their nefarious plot.
#02 - "(Necromancer) Raiser of the Dead"
Hmm.
Here we go, here we go! The first story to crash the hero with villain style against involves dead girls to trigger Accelerator's trauma of killing ten thousand clones of Mikoto Misaka and to protect the little sister Last Order he doesn't want to admit he cares for. What is DA stand for? Don't know. Why are they dog themed? Don't care. Why do they need dead psychics? Because they're weak, punk bitches. All that matters is that they caught the attention of the Number 1 Level 5 Psychic of Academy City and he's going to show them how to play the real villain accomplishing heroic deeds without spouting off about justice. The other thing that matters is that he's picked up a supporting character with big jugs because, otherwise, he has 10,000 flat sisters and a loli backing him up. The busty oneesan Yomikawa doesn't count unless she gets out of her Anti Skill jumpsuit.
Thankfully, the story is moving along quickly, because the events of the zombie psychic power cult picks up only a day after last episode. That's good enough for a throwaway joke to neg Yomikawa by Accelerator not remembering her. His game is strong; no wonder he has women just falling down on top of him.
Heh.
Oof. We're starting off dark. This girl attempted suicide and these alleged Anti Skill guys guarantee she succeeded, while proclaiming the dogma of DA. Academy City can't get away from these groups and their acronyms.
I don't get this logic. Why does being a Level 2 Pyro Psychic mean she gets to survive jumping down a bridge?
This zombie dog girl from last episode is going to interrupt Accelerator reading Heavy Object. He knows it too.
I wish this partial note was translated. I see "a certain A" is supposed to be in room 203, but nothing about Last Order.
Well, that confirms it. Real Anti Skill soldiers would not leave evidence behind.
Accelerator is so edgy. He's lounging in bed with his shoes on. Uh oh. That's a picture of Last Order. Accelerator isn't going to leave those guys alone.
They have something called a "coffin." That's called foreshadowing, people.
Esther has long legs. I like her already. You know, we figured out you guys were already fake Anti Skill, we didn't need a torture scene to prove it.
Yeah! Villain time! Accelerator is going to show these guys how to be a real bad guy! I'm just going to sit back and watch Accelerator step on some bugs. Interesting. DA's helmets do a biting thing before battle. Video feed being routed to supervisors? It's almost like a cult, eradicating vermin for justice.
Ha! Accelerator's just love tapping these fools. Accelerator has the best villain lines.
It appears Esther has some former relationship with this DA. She knows what a "coffin" is. I'm sure that head unit did not need the piping to look like a brain, but it looks cool.
Ahahaha! Crazy villain laugh from Accelerator. These DA guys are really ignorant. If they knew the number one Level 5 in the city was howling like that, they would run away fast.
A machine had a limiter? Come on. That's just lazy. Accelerator already modified his crutch handle? I thought he only did that later during the Index Underworld arcs.
Super lame. The "coffin" tried to block a blast crossing arms with those spindly things? I miss the tachikomas from Ghost in the Shell.
Good stuff. Accelerator is still traumatized by dead bodies of teenage girls. Caring for Last Order and keeping a chivalrous code of not hurting girls is what puts him on the hero path. The suicide victim was stuck in the "coffin" giving it psychic powers, which were amplified to Level 4. Too bad they met a Level 5.
Finally, the real Anti Skill arrive.
Bizarre. The dead girl Hasami's file has English text describing synchrotron radiation and how accelerated particles emit other particles when they come back down to stable energy levels inside an atom. I'm guessing this is just recycled text used for Accelerator's file and has nothing to do with pyrokinesis.
DA's iconography refers to dogs. I see a collar, people are named Breeder, Dachshund, Basset Hound, etc. The DA guys are right. That idiot should have kept to his mission instead of being a cult flunky and flex at someone he shouldn't have.
Ooh. There's some hot girl. I bet she's a reanimated corpse, though. Ew.
Obviously we need a scene with Last Order and Accelerator. The real Misaka would kill to have that froggy plushie.
Esther may as well not bother to give her name to Accelerator. He'll just come up with some terrible nickname anyway. Don't tell him he's a good person, either. Just act like he's one. He's got issues to work through. Ah. Esther taught DA how to use dead bodies for their powers. Was she a former believer, though?
How are they going to use Last Order? That's how Accelerator gets sucked in to the story, at any rate. Accelerator says it himself. Villain style, but he's not a villain. Not that he's ready to admit that yet.
They really recycle all these shots of Academy City in the end credits.
