Akemi has been disappointed before by fair weather fitness enthusiasts.
Summer vacation has caused a crisis at the Silverman Gym - all the free weight stations and cardio machines are packed with people! Akemi proclaims her chest reserved only for the bench press.
Macho Man tells the girls they can use the chest press machine. It only targets the chest muscles, but the machines are usually empty and its important to switch up your routine for maximize adaptation and gains. Akemi ended up liking how the machine made her chest feel.
Macho Man explained that free weights and weight machines have their place in a workout routine. He then showed how his sweat suits really do make him shrink. And, much to Satomi-sensei's disappointment, another of her students joined the gym, Ayaka, as a boxing fitness instructor since her family gym got the same summer crush of customers.
Sticking with the theme of adapting your workout to your circumstances, the girls found all their workout places closed, so they went to Akemi's huge estate. She found a workout book and video belonging to her sister giving them ideas on how to train at home without special equipment. They settled on the dip and found Macho Man as one of the fitness models in the video!
The girls went on a beach trip and ran into Satomi-sensei looking for a summer fling in a different prefecture. Their plans of flirting and swimming were thwarted by a pod of sharks, which emptied the beach.
Really sticking with the theme of not being rigid with your workout plans, Akemi suggested they used the beach sand to exercise instead of the ocean water. She claimed the Burpee, or squat-thrust, is a great beach workout. Everyone agreed after their exertions.
The omake covered a version of the dip called the reverse push-up. It looks like they worked out in some random office building, maybe even a manga editors' office.
