10 Second Anime - One Punch Man S2 - Episode 6

Genos fights monsters as he lets Saitama enjoy martial arts. Fubuki fights Super S, but Tatsumaki interrupts them.

Episode 6 - "The Uprising of the Monsters"

Hmm.

I'm seeing a pattern with the heroes fighting Suiryu in the Super Fight tournament that we usually see with heroes trying to fight Saitama or not understanding that he's going to help them. These guys drone on and on about their aspirations for getting stronger or what it means to be a hero, or something, and then Saitama just punches them or the problem away, with his one punch line that contains stoic wisdom. Here, we have Lighting Max and Snek both trying to get stronger so they can move past their utter defeat at the hands of the Sea King. Noble, right? But then lazy boy, ambitionless Suiryu one-kicks them, spouting much smaller reasons for getting strong.

Suiryu's two main philosophies, whether he truly believes them or he was just trying to provoke the heroes is not clear to me yet, are that he wants to be strong so he doesn't have to work so hard and he shouldn't have to work so hard because he doesn't have to help people anyway. On his second point, he says that the strongest of those facing problems wold survive with or without heroes, so just let Nature takes its course. On his first point, he sounds contradictory because to get as strong as he is now, he did have to work hard, but after he got to a certain level, he stopped training. That's his similarity to Saitama that this part of the story is trying sell. The second part about letting people take care of themselves is building a foundation for him to be an anti-hero.

We've already got one anti-hero targeting heroes themselves in Garou, so Suiryu is going to occupy some other thematic ground before he gets dispatched by Saitama's one punch. His playboy lazy attitude might fit in better with the Monster Association, but we'll need to see more detail on their plan at the martial arts tournament with Goketsu to see if Suiryu would want to join them or not.

The other fun thing to see in this episode was the relationship between Fubuki and Tatsumaki. The overprotective older sister is also overbearing. No wonder Fubuki has issues. Don't make Big Sis mad and don't bully Fubuki either.

Heh.

Saitama is One Punch! But Suiryu is One Kick! See you later Lightning Max.

Saitama is not impressed so far. Genos takes notes about strong people who aren't registered heroes. Saitama was one of them until just recently too.

Snek! Also seeking redemption from his loss against the Sea King like Max. He'll probably face the same fate too in this tournament.

Bakuzan seems strong. He's not worried about monsters around the stadium with all the martial artists in attendance.

Sourpuss is against a big guy. I see a manliness fight happening.

And Genos is going to get damaged again, but at least it will be by many monsters instead of one "king" where Saitama will have to rescue him.

Nice. The hardest armor on Genos is in his head. That totally makes sense.

Uh oh. Cockroach monster. I'm surprised he's not censored or mosaic'ed like in every other anime...

Bakuzan... One Punch! Saitama said not to touch the head, but did he listen? No!

Suiryu decides he's going to do a one punch thing too before they meet in the finals.

These Hero Association execs care more about their donors than the population. That's almost too cynical and realistic.

Har. Genos uses roach motel tactics on Cockroach Monster. But he ripped off his legs to escape.

And continuing that cat fight, Fubuki's love slaves are attacking her now.

Super S thinks Tatsumaki is Fubuki's little sister. That totally tripped a flag and the terrible tornado is coming.

Ouch. There's confirmation that Fubuki wears underwear, or a bra, at least.

Something bad is coming. A mad older sister!

YASSS! Lost Child Tatsumaki!

Snek has far to go to beat the Sea King or even a new hero recruit, which beat that Sea King.

Suiryu now spouts off about the fittest surviving, so why have heroes. Sounds like he's trolling.

Suiryu - One Kick!

Saitama is spending a lot of time in the toilet. What has he been eating?

Oh ho. Monster Association plots getting revealed. Gyoro-Gyoro talks to Monster King Orochi about their operation and Goketsu is approaching the martial arts tournament. Things are getting more interesting.

Next time, Garou picks a fight with Watchdog Man?
