La Hire couldn't stand watching cute innocent Jeanne beg Montmorency for "elixir," so she took out her frustration on the nearest target, her lieutenant Xaintrailles.
It turns out that Montmorency's incomplete Philosopher's Stone embedded in Jeanne needs replenishment of the elixir in his saliva, and this manifests in Jeanne feeling hot "down there" and needing hotter French Kisses.
