Harukana lost some momentum at the start of the 2nd game, but Kanata's strategy brought them back into it against the AiMai pair.

It became clear that Kanata's plan was to run the opposing team ragged by placing her pokeys all over the court and make them miss returns or offer up weak shots.

So, Kanata was getting her confidence built up but Haruka needed some encouragement on her blocks. Enter Claire with her confusing gesture of emphasis. I guess the message was supposed to be "Go hard!" but I'm about as sure as Haruka.

I say Haruka's beautiful backside gets a thumbs up (of approval) from me too! And Haruka finally dropped the roof on Ai to get a match point for emphasis.

Kanata got her first win as a grownup short girl. Yay! Meanwhile, Ai was sad that she felt like a liar in telling Mai that volleyball was all about short people defeating tall people. I can't believe they missed the opportunity to say that short girl Kanata beat tall Ai 2-0 in that match.

Unsurprisingly, Emily and Claire won the tournament, but Haruka and Kanata were just about as happy with getting through the first round and losing in the second. It was a big deal for both teams.

Mama Marissa got a call from Claire about a certain favor. Cliffhanger! Narumi was happy to hear from Emily about how well Kanata was doing too. And that short stalking escalator girl finally approached Kanata. Cliffhanger again!
