After helping him with a cooking class, First Seat Tsukasa aks Souma to assist him at Central as a wager on a shokugeki.

Tsukasa thinks Central's long term goal is to shut down every restaurant in Japan.

Well, what did you think food fascism was going to look like? It's especially blunt coming from such a gentle looking guy like Tsukasa, but the only thing he doesn't lack confidence in is his cooking ability. Otherwise, he's a socially anxious nervous wreck. But he'll still shut down your restaurant if it doesn't serve the approved gourmet cuisine. With a gentle smile too.

Now we know the stakes, so Souma better get to cooking!

I love how Ryou gets back into low energy mode as soon as he takes his bandanna off.

Azami plays the villain really well.

The dish at the end of the opening credits is now Rentarou's losing salmon.

Alice is mad at her uncle and hates him too, because of how he treated Erina and ripped up her letters. It looks like she actually hurt his feelings!

Ikumi is not looking at a TV screen, yet she and her Don RS president see the sumo guys getting strung up.

The title of the episode means we're going to see a lot of the White Knight of the Table, Tsukasa.

Substitute teacher Tsukasa. Substitute assistant Souma.

Souma's pretty good with all the French cooking terms now after his stagiaire with Shinomiya.

Ha! Who's the good guy again? Both Tsukasa and Souma gave each other villain looks.

That's insulting. Tsukasa wants Souma to join Central for his skills, not his cooking style. This guy is really self-centered, but in an almost absent-minded way.

Oh. Let's have some emotionally relevant dialogue while changing clothes. Now I have no idea what Erina and Hisako are talking about.

Hee. They need to hide to listen in on this conversation between Souma and Tsukasa. Why? Dunno.

Shokugeki for the climactic season break!

Oh my. Megumi and Hisako plotzed just from seeing and smelling Tsukasa handle venison.

Well. Souma better win if he wants to save good old neighborhood cooking.

Last week, the end credits showed the four Central minions. This week, we see Souma versus Tsukasa. From the preview, it looks like the girls stopped hiding so they could taste the dishes. A shokugeki needs judges, right?
