Kiri, the head attendant of the Konohana Inn, quickly took charge of Yuzu after her sensei Bikuni walked out of sight.
Yuzu, a young fox spirit, had led a very sheltered life with her teacher Bikuni. Her first foray into the real world was to work and live at the renowned Konohana Inn.
Yuzu had only known one other person in her life, so all the girls she met were especially pretty to her, like Kiri the head attendant who seems serious but is actually rather playful, and the beautiful and polite Ren who is rather petty on the inside. Natsume is the boyish "prince" of the fox spirit harem.
Kiri designated Satsuki, a severe beauty, to be Yuzu's main instructor for learning how to serve guests at the inn. It's obvious that Kiri chose this arrangement to make Yuzu soften Satsuki's sharp edges.
When Satsuki had a hard time teaching Yuzu about idle time at the inn, Kiri handed her off to Sakura, the quiet small fox spirit. She appears to be an expert time waster, but there's much more to tending the guests of the inn than worrying about cooking and cleaning.
Ah. The yuri aspects of this fua-fua healing anime were quickly established when Kiri made Yuzu Satsuki's new roommate. Blushes all around!
Kiri rooms with Sakura, so they're an established pair. Now Yuzu and Satsuki are another one.
Kitan (奇譚 きたん) means "mysterious story," but there's nothing mysterious about this fluffy, cute fox-girls-do-cute-fox-things healing anime. We just need to visit with the friendly pretty girls every week for the Fall season as Yuzu learns about the world through the other girls and they learn to be playful from their new friend.
