Akiho's mom has been teaching her all the advanced sexuality we've come to expect from this show, without the emotional maturity aspect, from a very young age. Akiho's dad should have plenty of advice for Shinozaki if he joins the family in an official capacity.

One good thing about this episode was that Akiho actually researched something nonsexual for her first date with Shinozaki - the all important cute head tilt!

Akiho got so excited about their next date, she couldn't sleep and caught a fever because of the exhaustion. This lead to spending more time with their homeroom teacher and nurse Ms. Koshimizu. Shinozaki just had to ask why all the women he knows have such dirty minds... Plus Mrs. Kosaka got the all important joke callback for the oyakodon (parent-child) pun with watersports.

In the end, Akiho got better in time for her cherry blossom viewing date with Shinozaki. While the rains may have spoiled the viewing for that year, there's always the promise of next year, which brought age-appropriate happiness to Akiho's maiden heart.
