Yumeko got extra excited when someone else, like Suzui, understood the thrill of tying great risk to pure chance. That's the essence of gambling chaos!
This was an anime original episode that shoe horned in a gambling stalemate between Yumeko and Kirari. So why not have some romance fanservice by making Suzui kind of confess his feelings for Yumeko, not once, but twice? Mary seemed to be the one most put out by this, but it fits since he used to be her number one pet.
There was still some gambling to be done, so that meant perplexed faces at Yumeko's strategy, or lack thereof, and rage faces from the opposition.
Showtime! Like the Choice Poker game, this Tarot Card game included a Fool or Joker card that didn't factor in at all. At least this time, they made not finding it a pivotal plot point.
Yumeko plotzed herself when Suzui decided to gamble like she does: eliminating all the plays that can be done by skill to leave only ones that can be chosen by pure chance. That's the secret of her compulsive gambling.
Well, this was an anime original story that needed to leave the plot of the manga intact, so Suzui drew Yumeko to a draw with Kirari. It was a lot of fun character development fanservice.
The epilogue reinforced the title of the episode and the show: Yumeko is a compulsive gambler who descends into gambling chaos.
