Was this the same Trinity Seven we haven't seen in two years? Yes, as Arata blasting clothes to smithereens demonstrates, yes it is.
The recap was quick and concentrated on the important things. Like the girls and how Arata the harem king remembers each of them by their three sizes.
The premise of the movie is that Arata had been having dreams of Lilith's grimoire and when he touched it, out popped a cute little girl calling him and Lilith Daddy and Mommy. The other girls were quite impressed at the cuteness of this newly conscious grimoire, whom Arata named Lilim.
Interspersed with all the harem dynamics as the other girls came to investigate the strong magic they noticed was just the antics the girls had over how cute a girl that came from Lilith and Arata could be. It's not that surprising, though. Just look at Lilith...
This show is all about fanservice, so naturally the talky exposition stuff about who the Big Bad is going to be has to be done in the bath. Lilim was awfully proud of her Mommy's ample gifts.
And then it was time to fight the Big Bad, who was triggered into attacking by Arata touching Lilith's grimoire and then by saying his name. How convenient that these things happened in his dreams...
Arata got a new Paladin form from interfacing with Lilith's grimoire. Sadly, they had to say goodbye to the Lilim consciousness by the end of the movie. There's never much continuity from these side projects, right? All that was left was to release the magical forms in the usual way...
