Ohta is pretty superstitious if he believes in the old wives' tale that seeing your doppelganger will kill you. The Tanaka siblings look pretty similar, no doubt.
Tanaka just says no to Valentine's chocolate and their heavy feelings of obligation.
Ohta and Tanaka thought Miyano would be pretty excited to give them Valentine's chocolate.
