Lady J and Rain live in their own little love nest. Oh, it's just a secluded trailer...

Akira knows a lot about the happenings on the island and apparently keeps a lot of stuff to herself. It must be rough managing the personalities of those who want to be in charge of Wärter. Focus, Akira, focus!

According to Akira, Lady J and Rain used to be spies for "Nafrece." As far as I've been able to find out, this is a made up country used as a stand-in for France in an anime from the early 2000's called Madlax.

I love these little details thrown around because when you add them up with Mirei's military background, it makes me think the nations had come up with some kind of non-proliferation treaty for the Armed Virus and putting these girls on these artificial islands was the solution. That doesn't stop some organizations from cheating, though.

I got a kick out of Mirei wondering why and where they were going with these two ladies and she prompted Mamori to ask them with an annoyed look.

Adult French kissing, with actual French adults, was too much for Mamori's pure heart!

They're really using all the usual anime tricks to imply Lady J just doesn't wear any underwear.

Speaking of underwear, Meifon's panties were the butt (ha!) of many jokes during the episode.

Mamori let Mirei know she doesn't like surprise nudity. Just ask her first. It's only polite...

Good job on this show for actually addressing what happens when a girl is too scared to get turned on and transform into an Arm. It's not like they were fighting other girls on the island. There was some scary artificial Arm like Akira's Suri that wanted to hurt them!

That artificial Arm was a great way of connecting Akira's family to this whole technological weapon system and introducing the arms race that went with it to Mirei's origins.

Uh, why is Meifon riding Lady J like this?

Ooh, Valkyrie Effect! Mamori has an evolved form!

I just want to point out that Mamori's happy cute kitty hairpin becomes an angry cute kitty hairpin in this weapon form.

Um, what did that landing look like?

And here we go! Finale story arc get! Momoka, Mirei's old partner will be infiltrating the island.

It looks like Mirei has a type. Shorter, petite, kitty hairpin. Catfight between Momoka and Mamori next episode?

Geh.

Those French spy lady big sister types really put on a NSFW display.

That was too much for Ms. Virgin's, ah, Ms. Tokonome's innocent eyes.

Thank goodness this show knows its priorities. If Mirei and Mamori get wet, that means they'll have to take off their clothes!

Surprise! You're naked!

I hope we get some details filled in on how Mirei's battle form works. Is it a partial Arm transformation? Is it part of the hybrid artificial Arm program she was involved in? Does she need to be turned on to, uh, turn it on?

Come on, Mirei. You could never look ugly or scary in Mamori's eyes.

Next time, love triangle! It won't just be M&M anymore (Mirei X Mamori), but M&M&M (Mirei X Mamori X Momoka)!
