Ayano and Chinatsu want to gain some confidence to enjoy spending time with their yuri targets. Chinatsu gets more help from Akari than she was expecting.
Episode 7 - "It Will Become an Unforgettable Day"
Heh.
The theme motivating all the vignettes was becoming bolder or gaining confidence. Ayano wanted to go to the movies with Kyoko and Chinatsu wanted her exclusive sleepover with Yui to be a successful one. I guess I should but "successful" in quotes. We are talking about yuri here.
Of course, the one needing no practice for being bold is Kyoko. She's got a bit too much confidence that needs to be smacked down by Yui every once in a while.
Chitose saw Ayano being extra nervous around Kyoko, starting conversations but ultimately turning them into some mundane topic. Then she noticed the movie tickets Ayano was holding, and she started hoping for some great yuri material.
In the end, the bold Kyoko asked Ayano out to see a movie. It was just that easy.
Even better for Ayano, she was able to invite Kyoko to see the movie she wanted to see. It all worked out. Good for you, Ayano!
Chinatsu had a great opportunity for some alone time with her Yui-senpai fall into her lap. But Chinatsu is the type of girl to over-plan things, so she wanted to "rehearse" her date with Yui by practicing with Akari.
Akari is such a nice girl. She'll do anything for her friends. She's readily aware of Chinatsu's special attachment to Yui, but she's still the main partner for her.
What makes Akari's character great in the midst of all this yuri pairing is that she's the only straight one. Yui plays the straight man to the foolish antics of Kyoko, but deep down she has her own special attachment to her best friend. Akari, to the contrary, appears aware of all the girls' undercurrent of yuri interest, but never displays it herself. Until now!
Granted, she had to get knocked out to show off her aggressive yuri side. It looks like she's related to her big sister after all! Also, part of Chinatsu having fun with Akari is teasing her about the yuri. It's not so enjoyable when Akari's the aggressor.
Ha! We got a Mirakurun sighting at the movies.
Even the fictional anime characters in this anime have their own yuri subtext.
Yup. Mirakurun looks just like Chinatsu with Akari's personality mixed with Kyoko's self-centered average intelligence.
Chinatsu's "date" with Yui didn't go exactly to plan. She couldn't spoon feed Yui because they were eating the same cake. She couldn't enjoy a lovey-dovey TV movie because it turned into a horror flick.
I had forgotten about Chinatsu's gorilla grip. She also couldn't get some skinship in the bath because Kyoko called Yui. But she did spend a nice night sleeping next to senpai. Good for you, Chinatsu!
I think next episode, besides visiting with Yui's little cousin, we're going to get more twin hijinks with Chitose and her brusque sister Chizuru. Oh so bold Kyoko is going to have more fun irritating her.
