Gouverneur Akira defuses a violent confrontation. Charlotte has her own priorities regarding Mirei and Mamori.
Episode 4 - "Gouverneur"
Feh.
Alright, I'm turning my brain off for this show. Plot holes are one thing in a TV show, but premise holes? The Ladies (Lady J and Rein) insinuated that the Gouverneur had never even talked with the "observers," the ones who had dumped all the girls on this island to begin with and that "he" founded Wärter, but where does all the energy come from? Who made the tanks? Technological magical girls are fine and all as a topic for visual arts and prurient interest, but the problem is the technology. That means metal work, power sources, engineering staff. Plain old magic could just mean a lonely girl talking with a magical mascot in her room. Sci-fi magical girls need a whole industrial complex. Like I said, I'll have to turn my brain off to appreciate the cute girls, floppy breasts and aggressive lesbianism.
Heh.
There was quite a bit of world building as the powers of these girls got fleshed out.
Rein wasn't just a wielder, but could become a weapon too! She's a sneaky kisser as well, which is how she got Mirei involved in shooting up the Wärter troops. The fodder girls had a funny scene. They lined up, turned towards each other in pairs and started making out so they could turn into guns. The signature for this show is obviously the swollen nipple shot.
Lady J sometimes likes to watch.
I like the implication that Lady J doesn't like wearing underwear either.
I appreciate the attention to detail, problems with the whole premise of the show notwithstanding.
Torino is another mystery. If she's on the island, that means she has the Arm Virus too. But she's old enough to drink.
Bourbon. Good girl. Which leads to another question: where did the bourbon come from? Feh! I already turned my brain off.
Mirei wasn't sure what to think about all the Gouverneur posters Mamori hung around the room.
I did like that she put aside any jealousy she might have had just so Mamori wasn't crying herself to sleep over homesickness.
Those pajamas weren't very absorbent...
It wasn't too far of a stretch to see an Arm that works psychosexually. My question is whether that new glasses girl controls the delusions or just induces sexual interest. If the latter, Mamori's vision of the Gouverneur tempting her made sense, but I'm disturbed by what kind of gang bang fantasy Mirei came up with.
Aw. It turned out that Kasumi actually did have an Arm partner whom she's protective of.
Also, as you can see, I'm calling this Akira girl by the French spelling of her title Gouverneur. Seeing how they spelled it in katakana convinced me.
Geh.
Banzai! Long live the beautiful, calm, cheerful Torino in a totally NSFW way!
There is nothing better than naked "girls talk" in the hot spring. Nothing!
I found it hilarious how all the girls went blushing crazy over the Gouverneur's visit to Atelier Torino. Kyaa! Tokonome might soon have a reason for people not to confuse the spelling of her name with virgin.
Mirei didn't like how that conversation was going at all. Not at all.
The outsider villagers weren't the only ones enjoying naked bath time.
For a show that pays attention to the nipple response so closely, I'm not surprised there's one girl with the very special inverted nipple.
Charlotte will have to get very, very excited to show off her erect nipple.
And then it was revealed Mamori was under the control of another Arm weapon. Too bad for her, but I loved how Mirei took advantage of the situation to turn her into a weapon to defeat the bad girl.
Next time, we're going to see a bunch of new girls get naked in violently exploitative ways. I just hope Torino-sama gets to interview them in the open bath too!
