10 Second Anime - Shokugeki no Soma - Episode 23



The last few contestants in A Block begin to impress the judges, especially Natsumi the Curry Queen.

Episode 23 - "The Competition of Blossoming Individuals"

Heh.

With A Block featuring Ryoko, Ikumi and the other Curry Queen Natsumi, my body was prepared for fan service. At least I thought I was prepared.

But when the haughty Natsumi turned into a gooey mess, I figured something special was going to happen.

Wow, calm down Shiomi. You need to use your inside voice with those kind of comments. Oh wait, heh, you meant, ah...

 

Blushing Ikumi is best Ikumi. 

She wanted to serve something extra for Souma. Of course, she did!

Proud papa club president embarrassed her from the stands. Fun scene right there, but it did show that she was learning to focus on the other parts of her recipes besides the meat

 

I wonder what it means that Ryo didn't get a specialty card. Megumi in B Block didn't get one either.

 

Ryo has an interesting other persona. Evil and sadistic, but only when he put on this headband. Souma doesn't have a gimmick like that with his head wrap.

Natsumi riding that tank gun barrel... hnnnggh!

Geh.

Natsumi did not disappoint with the fan service.

It took until our featured characters to show that Natsumi was susceptible to foodgasms, but I wasn't counting on how sensitive she was. From the "punyaa~" reaction to needing more time to recover between explosive sensations, she was much more sensualized than her sister.

Food so good, she dropped her spoon!

Things were definitely getting out of hand.

I was beginning to think this show had slid into a different anime genre.

I think the problem was just how much of Natsumi's reactions they had to cram into one episode that not only did she not get a break from the exhausting tingles and seizures, the audience didn't either. And we still had Ikumi and Ryoko to watch.

Ikumi showed Natsumi how it was done.

It looks like Ryoko's meat was well cooked by Ikumi too, judging by that jiggle.

Well, Natsumi handled the fan service well pretty much all be herself. Straddling that tank gun barrel though... She stopped worrying and learned to love the meat.

Hmm.

This episode and the next one appear to be just like the pair of previous episodes. We had one episode concentrate on two characters in Hisako and Nao, which made sense because of their past history. Then the next episode judged 6 people while still allowing a comfortable amount of attention on Megumi.

 

In this episode, we blasted through 5 characters, but the two who matter will be left for the series finale. The curry master Akira already teased his dish, but all we know of Souma's is that it was aromatic enough to wake him up. Considering how sensually effective his dishes have been in the past, I'm mildly concerned that Natsumi will need some help leaving the stadium under her own power. Punyaa~!
