10 Second Anime - Ore Monogatari!! - Episode 19

The new Gouda baby joins the family.

Episode 19 - "My Mom"

Heh.

Spoilers - It's a girl! She doesn't have a name yet, but she does have a unique hairstyle, just like the rest of her family.

It was a nice way to use the delivery of a new baby for Mr. Gouda to tell his son the story of how he and his mom got together. It wasn't anything special, just two coworkers falling in love, but Mr. Gouda did stress the things we see in Mrs. Gouda today were what drew him to her. Her strength, her toughness and that she was still a cutesy girl at heart. Takeo inherited that from her, worrying so much about others, but not even noticing all his own injuries.

We saw that Takeo got his salutes from his dad, but now we know he got his thumbs up from his mom!

I thought there was a chance we would get a health scare out of Mrs. Gouda's pregnancy like we did with Suna's dad and his heart condition. But the only frights happened because Mrs. Gouda kept being the strong person she always was and endured a bit too much pain.

That baby was coming! It could have popped out right there!

When Takeo was yelling at his sibling that he was right there waiting, and his mom shot him that look, I knew everything was going towards a super happy ending. She was in the delivery room for only a minute!

Awww! Takeo's mom got all emotional about being carried like a princess by her son. He's all grown up, while she's having a new baby. Is someone cutting onions in here? *sniff*

Just how long does Takeo think Suna will be without a relationship? He offered his baby sister to his best friend!

Rinko made an endearing impression on Mrs. Gouda. They're solid now.

Rinko was a premature baby, but she's super healthy now! Sure you are, Rinko, sure you are.

Baby Rinko was way cuter than baby Takeo. Just saying.

Let's also just say I'm a little concerned about the logistics of Rinko carrying a 10 pound baby. A little bit.

Takeo may get so worried that he panics, but having a good friend and a good girlfriend, his own contemporary family, shows he's going to be okay. Although, he could stand to mellow out as he matures. Just like his mom, he never worries about himself, but he needs to put that trust in himself onto those around him. Mrs. Gouda does that too, but she's had a few more years of practice.
