Takeo and Rinko get stranded overnight in the mountains.
Heh.
To make up for Rinko's birthday date being cut short, Takeo arranged for a picnic, but he realized it was more of a hike.
This outing was something he and Rinko planned all by themselves. Good. Even better, they got out of trouble by themselves too. This couple is going to be just fine.
There was no way Rinko was going to let some stupid hawk fly away with Takeo's birthday brooch.

The introduction of Rinko's freakout spirits was cuteness overload. Especially the scene where she knew she was going overboard and was trying to haul them back.
Wow. Takeo's dad is one handsome man. And he does keep asking his wife how she is every 5 minutes, just like Takeo.
I liked how Rinko's friends were freaking out over her spending the night with Takeo, but they never questioned her safety. Meanwhile, Takeo's friends and family barely took notice that he was gone.
Yeah, the whole day was pretty much like this until they fell over the cliff.
Aww, Rinko was in such a good mood she started humming the opening credits song.

Pocky eater level: Pro. The girls talked about Takeo being "manly," of course, but they had to admit that Sunakawa didn't seem that approachable.
I thought for a second Takeo was going to save everything from falling over the cliff, but no.
Rinko didn't mind if they stayed in the forest forever.
Her freakout fairies got quite the workout.
Add gentle woodland creatures to the list of who knows Takeo's nature. High school girls, adults, and wild boars still don't trust him.
Takeo had his own freakout lovey-dovey reactions.
I think Takeo needs his own emoji to express himself here.
Rinko's friends freaking out over what they think was her "first time" instead of just her first time spending so much time with Takeo was to be expected, but I still looked forward to how it was going to play out.
Rinko is still the bold little girl we saw in the first episode. She stole a kiss on the cheek from her giant mosquito killer! I mean, he's giant, not the mosquitos.
