10 Second Anime - Shokugeki no Soma - Episode 8



At the Totsuki elimination training camp Souma learns that others have practical kitchen experience too, like the Aldini twins.

Heh.

This Totsuki school needs to do things in a big flashy way. They can't just slowly expel kids throughout the school year. Oh no. They have to do it in extreme situations in a very public manner. Culling may be cruel, but it doesn't have to be boring.

 

We've been treated to only a few students' and teachers' quirky foodgasms, so what better way to keep the show interesting than having alumni come in and show off their weird inner visualizations of their foodgasms. This Hinako lady stuck a duck head on Placido Domingo, for crying out loud. I wonder if that's her thing.

 

Without Souma at the Donmono Research Club, I guess Ikumi doesn't have to dress girly prim and proper in her uniform anymore, but her embarrassed feelings for him are still there.

Ryouko didn't seem to like that Souma called Ikumi by her Nikumi nickname. (Gah, say that 10 times in a row). Is this some of that hot chick jealousy? They've both got big racks so there's more than enough cleavage to go around. Relax Ryouko.

 

Souma gave immediate deference to the Aldini brothers once he knew they were more than just students who had never prepared meals for customers. The younger brother Isami seems to be a nice guy who doesn't always take his prickly brother Takumi's side. He can laugh at him when he does something funny, like being denied by Hinako for judging whose dish is better between him and Souma. That might be a running joke for a while.

 

The Aldini brothers impressed with their improvisation and speed by turning an Italian based dish into a Japanese one using the native ingredients. They used duck, but most everybody else used fish because of the Japanese theme. Souma got fish too, but what will he do to make it more distinctive?

 

The other students have their own harsh tasks from the other alumni. We just needed a reminder that Erina can cook too.

Yes. Placido Domingo wearing a duck head. I can't even imagine what Hinako will think of when she tastes Souma's food.

Megumi appears to have certain qualities that draw people to her. Like the French chef and Hinako. There's just something about Megumi. Sounds like a 90's movie...
