Sayo the nurse specializes in disinfecting society, the loud hot leaded way.
I expected Triage X to be sexy trashy fun, but it was a bit more trashy than I expected. Add in the heavy amounts of steam and shadow censorship, and my motivation to watch the show dropped significantly. Another thing that turned me off was how the main character started spouting off his hospital-themed assassination squad's codes to a target. Using the lingo between team members is one thing, but pronouncing these things to an outsider makes that person look like a crazy serial killer. That's not cool.
This is a Xebec show, so it was pretty easy to see the similarities to Maken-ki! Two. Unfortunately, that also means they're following the same path in censorship for the broadcast and touting its removal for the blu-rays. The genital areas are shaded and steamed out, as we saw from a prolonged shower scene, but underwear appears to be no problem.
The women outside of the Black Label squad are treated prettily shabbily. From just general degradation (a hostage was being tortured bondage style while her father was made to watch) to just having strange ideas for outfits. I don't even know what pasty girl is trying to accomplish with that get-up.
Yuuko looks like a nice lady.
Mikoto is the main character's partner and likes motorcycles. According to the ending, she likes riding motorcycles in a bikini...
Ohira is an explosives expert and a successful idol. Sayo is an actual nurse who has a hidden sadistic streak.
The side characters are all well-endowed. Like, stacked. I was disappointed to see a high school involved in the story. Couldn't we do without that crap in a story that's about a hospital administrator on a mission of vengeance and vigilantism? The only pettanko in the whole show is the normal girl who has a crush on the main character. Figures.
Like Maken-ki! Two last year, this show only has 10 episodes and looks nigh unwatchable in its broadcast version. This reminds me of Isuca from last season, which was also only 10 episodes. After checking out the blu-rays of that show, it was still unwatchable. I'll have to see what the second episode looks like for this show, but right now the concept and its execution is annoying me.
Updates.
The blurays have started coming out for this show and they are spectacular! I knew things were going to get outrageous when the first scenes of Yuuko in her bikini put back in her puffy nipples. That's attention to detail!
It's a little crisp up on that rooftop.
Mikoto thinks it's no big deal to shower next to a high school boy.
Also, having a long steamy conversation is no big deal either.
This show has all the angles covered...
Yes, yes. The most important parts of Mikoto's body are covered up by that towel.
So, that steam wasn't covering anything at all "down there."
Having loud conversations in the shower with a naked boy must seem normal for Mikoto.
Mikoto shock! I believe she was surprised at his scars not, ah, some other thing.
Arashi pushed Mikoto up against the shower wall and he just wanted to talk? The boy has issues, apparently...
