The Sleeping Knights tell Asuna of their plan to kill a Floor Boss by themselves. Kirito makes sure no other guilds mess with their plans.

Heh.

There was a bunch of sitting around talking, some arguing, some pointing at names on a marble slab, some pointing swords at other players, and then finally the story started up again when Kirito appeared.

I actually did a fist pump when Kirito sprinted ahead of that guild, planted his sword, in the ground, and did his best Gandalf impression: "None shall pass!" Yui's face shows she real serious too. Come at me, bro!

It may have been a while since the last time Asuna felt that rush of love, admiration, and relief with Kirito coming to save the day, but even if it was over a trivial thing like killing a monster first, she got that feeling again. "Oooh, you made my boyfriend mad!"

Hah, that guild wanted a Floor Boss fight, but it's too bad for them that Kirito is that Floor Boss. No little cheaters skulking around to find out his attack patterns, either.

It was fun to see how many times Kirito's name was on that slab naming the parties that killed the Floor Bosses first. It was also a bit enraging to see how many times that guild had poached the Floor Boss kills from the Sleeping Knights.

Hmm.

One thing that Yuuki said that made an impression on Asuna was how sometimes you don't know how serious someone else is about something unless you fight about it. Asuna's mother may be insensitive about her experiences and relationships she made in SAO, but Asuna hasn't shared with her how things were in there. Two years of actually living, and almost dying, with her friends. Those kind of relationships are closer to comrades in arms or veterans from the same unit in war. Outsiders can't really appreciate what that feels like. Asuna's mom thinks she was just hanging out for two years. Not hardly.

Yuuki hinted at what Kirito discovered about her in their duel. Her "secret," she called it. He had asked if she had lived her whole life in a game. The biggest hint is the name of her guild, the Sleeping Knights. These kids might all be in medical facilities with paralyzed bodies, or something like that, and something is happening in real life where they won't have access to this kind of immersive game anymore. The opening credits showing a younger Yuuki and virtual Yuuki learning to walk and the virtual Yuuki rushing ahead, are really evocative of what Yuuki's "secret" is and what will happen to the Sleeping Knights.

Next up, Floor Boss fights. One for Asuna and, unfortunately, one for that guild going up against Kirito. That poor guild, making Asuna's boyfriend mad.
