Cross Ange - Episode 4
Ange proves adept at handling the Paramail Vilkiss, but still is not making any friends. A prank goes too far and she finds herself naked, tied to a bed.
Meh.
Talk about a transitional episode. We had a weak backfiring pranks plot played for comedy, and much of the animation quality for the characters dropped as well. The only things that mattered were the beginning, where we see the Norma plotting something away from the Mana using political officer, and the end, where Ange finally meets that naked guy in the opening credits.Heh.
These are basically high school girls, right? Cut up uniforms, spilling food in the cafeteria, laxatives in water bottles, and tacks on seats are not serious attempts at paying a bitch back for causing three deaths. What Hilda did, sabotaging the air intake on Vilkiss, was a real military grade prank.Ange being a princess means she can tell that a pea is under that seventh mattress, or in this case, a laxative in her water.
How nice for a remote island to be so close to where these dragons always pop out of.
Hey, buy the blu-rays.
At least Ange was walking around half naked most of the episode because of her cut up uniform. She's still playing the spoiled princess. When the Commander did a spit take at her scandalous attire, Ange responded by asking her if she feels embarrassed when a bug sees her naked. Woof. Totally not making friends with the other Norma like that. And she's being mean to Vivian. That's not right. At least Vivian is strong enough in her own identity not to be offended.
Speaking of Vivian, I think it's hilarious she's roommates with the serious Salia.
Careful Salia. You're starting to cross the streams of anime girl types. You can have serious twin-tail and serious megane, but serious twin-tail megane is beginning to pile on.
And speaking of types, Ersha's got the ara-ara big sister good-at-cooking type all to herself. But you know those kind of girls have a hidden wild side.
I thought military bases were cold and drafty, but with the pilot suits the girls wear, a little nothing of a thong shouldn't be a problem for Ersha.
Hmm.
So, there's a subplot of rebellion among the Norma, and Vilkiss fits into it somehow. That's not explained yet, or why Jill thought that Salia would be able to pilot it at some point. Instead of exploring that, we rehash what the girls can buy at the mall, and we see all of Rosalie's pranks backfiring on her.Now that Ange gets stranded on a deserted island (I presume) with a man(!), we may get some answers on how this magic world works, what's been going on after her father the emperor was deposed, what's up with these dragons, and if Ange is going to get with that guy or what. Most important, of course, is if Ange is going to get with that guy. All that other stuff, that can happen in the background, or whatever. I'm not picky.
