With Sheele gone, the show is turning to Esdeath for its shojou-in-love material? Good luck with that, although we'll get lots of uncomfortable Tatsumi humor out of his situation.

The girl members of Night Raid still blush for Tatsumi's earnestness, but not for Lubbock. Poor guy.

I got a good laugh out of Najenda flashing the "oh, you noticed how awesome I am?" smile in Tatsumi's direction.

Akame can't stop eating meat. Kurome can't stop eating snacks. They're related.

Terrible engrish aside, don't Esdeath's qualities for the perfect man also fit Wave? He seems like what Tatsumi could have been in a couple of years if the military recruitment center had room for him.

With Esdeath taking on the shojou role *shivers*, we still need a replacement duo for the yaoi jokes. Done and done.

Wave and Dr. Stylish, please report to the rose covered frame...

One thing I noticed about Wave is when he signaled the start to Tatsumi's arena match, his downward swing caused a rush of air. He's not here just for the yaoi jokes and helping Boris in the kitchen.

I don't care how cute that thing is, Coro ate Sheele!

An assassin's guild with a secret hideout in the city? Of course!

I still don't think Incursio is the right Emperor's Tool for Tatsumi, but I'll have to see what his weapon looks like when he's using it for real.

What is Esdeath going to do when she finds out Tatsumi already has an Emperor's Tool? Can he use both? How does it work?

Tatsumi may be strong enough to use other Emperor's Tools, since he doesn't have trouble dealing with this guy barehanded.

Geh.

 Leone is still mai waifu.

We didn't get to see her last episode, but with a new chapter introducing the Jaegers, we can relax a bit with busty onee-san.

She better not relax too much, because Esdeath is making a great case for being mai mistress.

She has a great tailor... I'm beginning to see what Liver was thinking in following her. Well, maybe thinking is the wrong word.

Hmm.

I had thought it would be funny if Tatsumi turned out to fit Esdeath's requirements, and here we are. I guess we'll see a bit of Esdeath's back story, as we follow Akame and Night Raid's actions in trying to get Tatsumi back.

I like that we see time actually affect things in the story. Mine is back to health. Tatsumi has grown much stronger. And Esdeath has to replace her Three Beasts with a mirror image of Night Raid to hunt them down.

This new act in the show has already introduced its elements for humor, action, and affection, with tension between the hunters and hunted ratcheted up with the capture of Tatsumi. I'm looking forward to how they show Esdeath's twisted love grow for Tatsumi, and what the Night Raid girls are going to do about it.
