Majimoji Rurumo - Episode 2
When Kouta finds out Rurumo has been camping out in the woods, he secretly moves her into his room. Scary Mama finds out, but magic fixes everything.
Heh.
Ususally a kuudere girl is smart and competent, but Rurumo is clumsy and kind of slow. Good thing Chiro the cat is around to protect her from scary frogs. The guys from the Occult Research Club may be interested in Mystery Girls, but they're still guys who want to see a cute girl in her underwear, even if they explain it away as documenting a ritual. Sure, we believe you. Just like trying to capture a ghost in the girl's locker room with a camera. Naughty ghost...
Kouta has amazing sneaking skills. With a mother who suspects he may be the neighborhood pervert, he had good reason to perfect that crouching shuffle.
Yup. Mama is scary.
Keeping a secret relationship is kind of thrilling, but that thrill is mixed in with a lot of stress. Either shorten your life by your knife-wielding mom (and the stress), or just use the life-shortening tickets to make up a brand new sister.
Hey, Kouta may have even come out ahead with all the tickets he's used compared to the stress of trying to protect Rurumo from the elements, from naughty cameras, and protecting himself from his mother.
Even though this broadcast finds tomato panties acceptable, getting into the bath is still a problem for a very young looking witch.
Come on man, she's at least 75 years old.
I said this Chiro cat was going to steal the show.
I'm not wrong so far.
Hmm.
Rurumo is going through an interesting training program. She only gets magic when the guy with the tickets wishes for something. The rest of the time, she has to live like a mortal, doing mundane things the mundane way. With their long lives, the witches can outlive someone who uses the tickets sparingly, and learn lots of skills outside of magic. In contrast, if their contractor uses up their tickets quickly, and dies quickly, they will have probably learned how to use all sorts of powerful magic. There's a trade-off between learning not to rely on magic and becoming very adept at magic. It looks like Rurumo doesn't have to worry about the magic part, but definitely needs to learn how to live as an independent person and learn how to navigate interpersonal relationships. Kouta should be a good contractor for that kind of education. On Kouta's side, he's finally relating to a girl, albeit a strange one, when he couldn't before, because of his reputation. Except for the looming death sentence by using up all the magic tickets, he's having the time of his life.
