Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei - Episode 15
The BAMF team rolls to the finals. The Prince and the Cardinal think they've set a trap in the final game for them. Erika is as big a brocon as Miyuki?!
Heh.
I actually covered my mouth in anticipation of the brutality Leon was about to unleash as he protected the Monolith. Youch! That's gotta hurt. This isn't Capture the Flag. This is Spy vs. Spy, or Commando vs. Commando. Goodwill Games my ass. This is War Games.
With BAMF #1 being the most visible infiltrator, Leon as BAMF #2 using Tatsuya's toy to full effect, and Mikihiko as BAMF #3 being the reconnaissance asset, I can't help but think all their roles are going be changed around for the final match against the Cardinal and the Prince. Who's setting the trap for whom?
Tatsuya's old military buddies pretty much gave the game away by talking about the skills they know he can do. We also know what Nurse Ono brought with her, if the military guys are saying that Tatsuya going to need some better gear to use his top shelf stuff.
Tatsuya thinks he's got the game in the bag, but wanting to go after the Hong Kong gang in case they make a move too? That's 3 dimensional chess stuff right there.
Speaking of Nurse Ono, she's got some strange ideas about personal space.
Um, yeah. That's not the body language of someone trying to whisper secrets to another person. Tatsuya sure is a stick in the mud. First he calls her on her short skirt, and now he doesn't want people to think they're about to kiss.
On the subject of body language...
Somebody just got found out about their brother complex. And worse, it's by the recognized expert!
Yup. Definitely the last person you want lecturing you about your jealous feelings for your precious big brother. Bonus for the viewers, though. We find out who Mari's boyfriend is and why Erika has been acting a bit catty with her comments about her. That's right, Erika. We totally believe you're mad at Mari for influencing the Chiba heir into integrating magic into some of the Chiba Clan sword techniques. There, there. We understand.
Geh.
When I saw Leon looking around the Monolith, establishing a physical barrier with Tatsuya's toy, I cringed. I knew pain was going to be brought down on some poor guy. Plus, having his ability of reinforcing objects to keep a Monolith closed just made him the perfect last defense. Damn, Tatsuya, you scary! BAMF'ing like a BAMF.Hmm.
We saw how strong the Cardinal and the Prince were in combat, but their third guy seemed to be dead weight. That's going to be a liability. Also, trying to show that Tatsuya would have trouble inputting 512 characters into a magical code when he programs in hexadecimal? Traps getting set.
The question is going to be whether anyone connected to 3rd Magic Specialty School knows about the Hong Kong gang betting on them to win. We haven't been introduced to anyone else over there, except for the Prince and the Cardinal, so I'm guessing not. We'll see how that shakes out soon enough. Prediction: they don't. 3rd Magic School wins because of their interference, which they can't accept, and they raid the Headless Dragon HQ with Tatsuya. If that's wrong, then the Prince has some dark secrets from the war, and went along with it, and he and Tatsuya end up fighting. I'd like to see something totally different than any of these two story paths.
We finally got some good BAMF action after seeing Tatsuya sitting around with girls flirting with him for so long. Not that I minded so much, but a BAMF's gotta BAMF. Next episode, we'll see what Tatsuya cooked up to bring the Cardinal down a peg.
