How Mayumi got her groove back, with a little help from a centipede and a 15 year old boy.

Heh.

Shiro comes to the rescue of sad Mayumi, and his reward is getting hit in the head with a sake bottle. Don't worry, he's happy with that.

Too bad it didn't work, and Mayumi has to sing happy love songs on the roof. Looks like this kind of happy/sad concert has happened many times before.

With all the head tilting, I thought I was watching a special SHAFT production of this episode.

I find it hilarious that the centipede causing all the ruckus in the middle of the night would have been dead sooner if it didn't take Sayaka so long to put her makeup on.

The slapstick comedy over a centipede, was well done, well paced, and absolutely ludicrous. I loved it! Especially when Usa made the special point of making the centipede look like a cartoon character to stop Ritsu from panicking.

Geh.

This was a essentially a Mayumi centric episode. Part one was the red phase, full of sadness and attempted comfort. Mayumi is mai red waifu.

But she still cried herself to sleep, and then had all the drama with the centipede. This was the blue phase, where she ultimately got her confidence back. Mayumi is mai blue waifu.

Apparently hot single chicks in Japan also have messy rooms like hot single American chicks. See how progressive I am? I called her hot... and a chick... I guess I'm not that progressive after all. Also, tell me where all this fat is that Sayaka thinks she has to keep pinching. I don't see it, and let me tell you, I'm looking really hard. For science...

What a perfect bookend of an episode too. Usa's friend called him the day before asking to come over to meet the busty lady who was all over him at the Apprentice Cafe, when all this drama over an older coworker at Mayumi's office getting another boyfriend got started. Then he comes over the next day while Mayumi is still in her pajamas, and nervously asks her out. And that's how Mayumi got her groove back.

Hmm.

In the middle of all this chaos, we got a little movement between Ritsu and Usa. Usa came from a noisy home where a lot of weird people visited his parents, who are also a little strange, so that's why he's "too helpful, or too nice for his own good, or just downright meddlesome," according to Ritsu.

And Ritsu is beginning to get more comfortable feeling gratitude and expressing it in return, instead of how she used to avoid those situations so she wouldn't feel like she has to owe anyone something. That feeling still embarrasses her greatly though.

From the preview, Ritsu might have to learn how to deal with feeling a little jealous, as more of Usa's old junior high friends start coming to see him at the Apprentice Cafe. Will there be a rival for Ritsu? More Kawaisou Style situations for Usa coming up too.
