Starting up a whole new database, which means a whole bunch of headaches formatting the data to fit onto a blog post. Expect these tables to look better in the coming weeks.
The first 3 weeks of the year are for metabolism and cardio capacity. Basically reminding my lungs and heart that they can take several hours of increased metabolism. This also means I get hungry, and that last half hour before meal times is pretty brutal. Thankfully I've got pretty good discipline about snacking. I also gain a pound or two during this time because my muscle groups retain water from the increased activity. Weight and fat loss will come later. I was pretty good over my time away from the bike. Over 2 and a half months, and I only gained 3 pounds. I had gained about 4 pounds of muscle from the previous year, so I'm curious to see if that trend continues.
As a bonus, here's some shaky one-handed camera time around the Huntington Library.
That's a pretty nice camera for being able to just pull it out of my back pocket, but you can see that San Marino needs to do a little road repair around there. And here's an omake for anime fans.
