Remarks: As you can see in that last entry, a group of us climbed almost 3600 feet over about 60 miles. At our post-ride meal, one of our group was trying to think of a way to impress his teen-age children after punishing his body for 5 hours (their first question is always "why would you do that?"). So we thought of ways to analogize that large number. Suggestions were: 3 and a half Eiffel Towers; 3 Empire State Buildings; and 1 and a half Dubai Towers. Really, that Dubai Tower is a beast at half a mile tall!
