Preoccupied

I'm a little preoccupied by firestorm affecting Southern California, being spread by the Santa Ana wind conditions. Already, there are mass evacuations in San Diego County, and the smoke clouds are large enough to be seen by satellite imagery.

My parents and I are fine, but we are keeping the news in the background because we just don't know where the next fire is going to pop up. The winds are blowing embers everywhere, and those of us who live near canyons or foothills really have to worry about the hillside brush. Pasadena seems to be far away from any fires right now, but 45 miles can still be plenty close with these winds.

Last I saw, new fires were reported around Magic Mountain and Ontario.
