Episode 08 — “Here Comes the Lord Squad!”
Hmm.
Venalita has a problem on his invisible hands. Or paws, if you will. The evil organization he built with themes of sexual deviancy and fetish fashion choices has broken away. Artistic differences? How artistic is pure violence compared to dominatrix roleplaying? Clearly, Venalita planned for the kinkiness to be a factor in Enormita’s motivation in Gushing over Magical Girls. Look at how trashy, ahem, sensually the evil executives dress and how even the generic fodder monsters wore leather straps and masks.
Were those fashion choices merely to contrast with the virginally pure magical girls’ uniforms? I don’t buy that because their sexy bottoms have sailor collar motifs. The “good guys” apparently designed those panties for horny gazes. The evil organization and the magical girls put on sexy shows for the women of the world. Utena gets that, which is why Venalita picked her to lead the new faction of villains.
What does the old guard think? Lord Enorme, the leader of the Enormita itself, claims she has to defeat the magical girls to take over the world. Okay, then what? That part of the motivation is always left out of these good vs. evil morality plays. Meanwhile, Utena only wants to torment magical girls to watch them squirm as they never give up. Magia Baiser exerts a sexually deviant symbiosis with Tres Magia.
This balance of fetish power puts Utena in a precarious spot. First, it’s not clear what the magical girls get out of being put through the fetish wringer, except for how much Magia Azure enjoys her sessions with Baiser. Magia Sulfur spoils for a fight, but she still has leather straps that fit the sex dungeon roleplaying club she joined. Magia Magenta is clearly a stripper. That’s why she wears pasties, and her weapon is a spear. She’s a pole dancer! Venalita’s master plan is to open a sex fetish club with mock fights between villains and magical girls. Just try to prove me wrong! Baiser’s tender fetish sessions slowly convince (seduce, turn) them. But first, Tres Magia and Magia Baiser’s faction must dispose of the violent Lord Squad who blocks this kinky future from happening. Move, hags. Your turn is over.

Uh oh. It’s time for Utena and friends to meet their big sisters in Enormita. It’s like a business meeting, though. Suit up!
Awkward. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. Will Sayo confess her masochism addiction? Or how far Sayo had fallen that even Magia Baiser rejected her? Aw. She needs help getting “stronger.” Blah. I see this plot development as taking Tres Magia out of rotation as Baiser’s enemy. Then, the kinky villains turn their attention to their Enormita rivals. Building to a climax (heh) of Tres Magia teaming up with Baiser’s group to defeat Enormita’s old leadership. Let’s see how my prediction stacks up. Dear Gushing over Magical Girls manga guys, no spoilers, please.
How will the Magia Baiser group’s first performance review go? Ah. Not well. These senior execs don’t like each other very much. The number of stars on their bodies denotes the rank of evilness. The head lady has four, while the others have three. How many stars does Baiser have? Or Neroalice? Their stars look decorative because they have different sizes. The four seniors are the founding members of Enormita! They all have the same terrible naming sense from Venalita’s chuunibyou vocabulary books. Loco Musica, Leberblume, Sister Gigant, and Lord Enorme just arrived from hunting magical girls. They’re responsible for the stories about missing magical girls we heard about during Tres Magia’s photo shoot. Lord Enorme is not happy with the video Venalita took of the Baiser group’s fights. Ha! She called Leoparde “starless.”
Lord Enorme noticed that Baiser never tried to defeat the magical girls. She did all that other “stuff” to them, though. Lord Enorme thinks Enormita’s goal is world domination. But is it, really? Venalita wants to build power first. That black mascot’s motivations are still a mystery. What if Venalita takes back his star power from these women? Anyway, we have a factional power struggle. The new girls didn’t sign up for world domination. Utena heard about that plan from Venalita, but he supplied a strange tale about magical mascots in a civil war. Besides, Utena only desired to mess with magical girls, Kiwi wanted to become more popular than those magical girls, and Korisu wanted another black cat plushie. Good luck taking over the world with this crew.
Ack. Gushing over Magical Girls goes for a violent downsizing. Let’s see what Sister Gigant can do. Oho! Another giantess this season! Crush fetish fans rejoice! Does Neroalice have enough power to contain Sister Gigant? Gigant is busting out all over! Her giant boobies will smush Baiser and Leoparde! This is not the paizuri I expected to see in my fluffy mahou shoujo anime. Well. Magia Baiser is an escape artist, so her death by oppai will have to wait. Nun habit battle damage! There wasn’t much material to begin with, thanks to the massive underboob design.
Ah. Lord Enorme has a weakness. She likes underestimating her enemies. Uh oh. Magia Baiser found a new target to torture. And she reveals FIVE stars on her face when she enters dominatrix mode. We know the conditions for the Gushing over Magical Girls season finale. First of the Lord Squad to fall: Loco Musica?
The Lord Squad took over Nacht Base, but who cares? Utena has only been there twice to meet Kiwi and Korisu. Venalita didn’t trust Lord Enorme with the Baiser faction’s true identities. The cat engineered the split! But Utena is more pissed off about the magical girl hunt. She had tolerated the weird change in her life to meet and mess with magical girls. But then Enormita took them away from her. Unforgivable!
Meanwhile, Magia Azure gets the wrong kind of training from Sulfur. Sayo needs to learn how to tolerate the waves of pleasure she gets from pain and bondage! Not the slaps and punches of leather-strapped fists from the Gushing over Magical Girls foul-mouthed china doll.
Ha. Korisu is the mature one. Kiwi can’t forgive herself for hurting Utena. Eep. Bonding over their friend will have to pause because Loco Musica has entered the scene. Notable: Loco called out “Enormita” as her enemies. The Lord Squad is a separate evil organization now. Oh, no! How mean! Kiwi distracted Korisu by taking away her dolly! I have yet to see Leoparde win a fight by herself. Well. Neroalice will come to save her.
The Lord Squad makes a big deal out of having stars on their bodies. Has she considered whether Leoparde has them in a private place? Loco Musica’s ability is singing. Badly. She’s a failed idol. Although it’s difficult for a voice actor to sing out of tune, Yuuka Aisaka (Muse from Amagi Brilliant Park) gave a teeth-gritting performance. “Voix forte” means “strong voice” in French as a musical direction. Tag team Cheshire Cat!
Is Loco Musica’s singing so terrible she could only be the top idol if she takes over the world? Signs point to yes. The comedic gag reactions in this Gushing over Magical Girls episode are on point. The karaoke-styled subtitles bring me way back to the days of watching fansubs. I’m dying. This sounds so bad! Oops. Loco Musica can’t take criticism, either. It’s a violent crying jag coming up! Kiwi is learning how to be an escape artist, too. Flashbangs and running away! Punishment time for Loco Musica. What will Lord Enorme do to her?
Ah. Naked whipping. Powder blue shimapan. Boo! Lord Enorme is the poor man’s Magia Baiser. This is pure degradation and humiliation. It seems out of place without the threat of violence from a goon squad. Where’s the sexual tension? The teasing? The playfulness? This is just prisoner whipping. Next time, it looks like we’ll be sticking with Loco Musica until she receives Magia Baiser’s fetish training.
Utena is definitely the strongest from stars she has 2 on her horns, 1 in each eye (if that counts idk) and 2 on her cheeks so 6 stars altogether so if they say Lord Enorme is the strongest with 4 stars utena would surly wipe the floor with each lord squad member at full power.
