The prologue and the opening credits for the fifth season of DanMachi show us a weeping Syr, spoiling how Syr hopes to give up "goddesshood" from Freya, and Hestia overtly using her goddess powers. What will Freya do?
DanMachi picked up right after Bell and Ryuu escaped the lower dungeon floors. The Familia members involved in the rescue mission leveled up! And everyone celebrated with food and beer at Mia Mama's inn. That's when Ryuu had to admit her feelings for Bell and couldn't look him in the face without blushing anymore.
Ryuu's feelings forced Syr to act! And that meant asking Freya for permission to ask Bell on a romantic date. It's the first confirmation that Syr (the vessel for Freya in Norse mythology) belongs to Freya's Familia. Also, Hestia had never seen Syr's face! She might have made the connection to Freya much sooner. Meanwhile, Syr's waitress companions are all agog at Syr making a bold move toward Bell.
The end credits show Freya putting on her goddess uniform in languorous motions. I hope we see a credit-less version soon so I can create GIFs of the sexy scene.
