All Kafka Hibino ever wanted to do was protect little girls from monsters. After he gained the power of one, he got his wish. Even talented girls like his childhood friend Mina or his classmate Kikoru. He's only happy when they're all right.
Kaiju No. 8 combines One-Punch Man with Japanese Kaijuu shows... nope. One-Punch Man was a combination of two genres: the superhero and monster movies. Kaiju No. 8 continues the tradition. Saitama wanted to become a hero so much that he became one, like the monsters he had to defeat. Kafka (who references Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka) became a monster and used his new powers to protect children. He's a 31-year-old man, so everyone is a child to him. Mina's second-in-command Hoshina suspects his secret, but he really keeps him around for comic relief.
