Sasaki is in a bind. Hoshizaki provoked a nascent psychic into shooting an out-of-control fireball at an airplane. The salaryman threw up a shield to protect his area from flaming wreckage, but that drew a psychopathic magical girl in search of psychics to kill. He had to convince the killer magical girl he was a "mahou chuunen" (magical middle-aged man).
