The battle in Soul Society reset after Ishida, Jugram, and Yhwach ascended into the Soul King's Palace. Ichigo wanted to hear Ishida's explanation, which meant following after him with Chad and Orihime. The remaining Quincies found new opponents to fight. For example, Bazz-B switching to and complimenting Renji's on-point eyebrow game. Giselle faced her Shinigami enemies with a new weapon: a zombified Bambietta! That's proof the Stern Ritter died because Giselle can only turn dead Quincies into zombies.
The morbid Giselle met her (his?) match in a resplendent Kurotsuchi. Side note: Yumichika, a flowery ikemen himself, noticed Giselle might not be as girly as the Quincy presents. That might matter when one of Kurotsuchi's resurrected Arrancar uses a love-based attack. Giselle thought it best to overwhelm a Shinigami captain and lieutenants with a zombie army of Shinigami soldiers. This Quincy's powers can make Shinigami into zombies while they're still alive, but that's just a consequence of everyone in Soul Society being already dead. That might be the key to defeating Giselle's zombie trump card: Hitsugaya!
The end card has fun with Kurotsuchi abusing his Frankenstein Arrancar.
