BREAK.04 — "Two-Man Team"
Cycling Porn.
Cycling porn included Tadokoro's Specialized and Aoyagi's Corratec in a flashback. Here's your reminder that Kaburagi rides a Felt, Naruko rides a Pinarello, Imaizumi is on a full-carbon Scott, and Onoda has a yellow BMC. Yowamushi Pedal, five years later, still does that awful sparking gear change on a Shimano index shifter. Young Aoyagi ogled a Trek frame that didn't exist back then. Funatsu, one of the zako of Kyoto Fushimi, rides the generic Japanese brand, Anchor.
Heh.
Hoh. Yamaguchi knows Aoyagi hurt his knee. Why else is the sprinter still wearing his leg warmers? Hey, flashback. Tadokoro taught Aoyagi how to save his matches for the sprint. Teshima thinks Aoyagi was Tadokoro's favorite because sprinter-senpai gave him head pats. Uh oh. I see Aoyagi signaling a sacrifice for Teshima to reach Onoda. Har. Kaburagi doesn't understand that the weird song Aoyagi made him sing came from Onoda, THE NATIONAL CHAMPION OF JAPAN. Yamaguchi and Funatsu of Kyoto Fushimi think they have the advantage because it's two sprinters against one. They don't know that Teshima used to be a sprinter before transforming himself into a climber to help Onoda at this year's Inter-High Road Race.
Aw. Flashbacks for Aoyagi and Teshima before one of them goes bye-bye. Teshima always rode for Aoyagi's wins, but there was only one trophy to hold. There's your foreshadowing. Aoyagi will race for Teshima's win at the bridge. That's called cheating, my friends. Teammates cannot push each other along in any cycling race. Sohoku reunites. Finally! But Hakone has already left. Onoda and Sohoku have more work to do.
Next time, something will happen to the senpais of the peloton. What, what?
