The dorms at the Mage College had talking cats for house matrons. Chise chose the friendly Rose Lyn. Then she met her roommate, Lucy Webster, by smacking her face with the door. Not a good first impression. The end credits show Chise making friends with Lucy, so they must have gotten over that accidentally violent introduction.
